Accessible by boat from Lorient via a 45-minute crossing, theisland of Groix is a nature destination par excellence. A real gem, it can be explored on foot along its coastal paths, or by bike on over 40 km of cycle paths.
Enjoy the charm of Port-Tudy, which links the island to the mainland, and the village of Locmaria, home to some fine shipowners’ houses. And don’t miss the village of Locmaria and its charming little bay. A tour of the island will also take you to Port-Lay, a former must-see tuna fishing spot, Port Saint-Nicolas, a paradise-like setting, and the two lighthouses of Pen Men and Pointe des Chats.
